Hi, I'm Michael. A lot of you probably know me as Disco Crocodile. I occasionally stream custom mechanical keyboard and cable builds on Twitch TV. Since I entered this hobby back in November 2019 (haven't been in the game for long), I have become enormously infatuated with the entire scene itself. Since November of last year, I've accumulated 10 custom keyboards as well as a plethora of keyboard accessories.
One of the things I have noticed in the community is that there is generally a lack of supply and we find ourselves waiting several months for something to come in the mail. Because of this, and other various reasons, I have decided to create TYPR as a tool help bridge a HUGE gap. I am planning on using TYPR as a creative outlet for myself and also a general storefront where you can find everyday mechanical keyboard goods, such as lubes, switches, etc.
While I want to sell supplies and keep them readily stocked, I also want to create new things. I have taken it upon myself to increase my knowledge in design, learning CAD, and business principals. I believe there are a lot of great artists and creators in this community, however, some of them don't have the means to plan, market, or afford putting their items on the shelves. Now I'm not saying that I can do this entirely for them, but I do want to try to make it a little bit easier. I believe this hobby has an ever-growing community, but to me, there are was a lot of gray area, so I had to dive deep.
It is and will always be a work in progress. Hoping that I can serve y'all well. Since I became apart of this community, I have seen nothing but love from everybody. Thanks for your gratitude.
TLDR: I am starting a storefront that also focuses on creating, collaborating, and getting products from idea to shelf. I love you all; it's been real.
